facewhore

May 17, 2004
I've got a new addiction.

It's called facewhore. It's kind of like friendster, except you gather rating points instead of friends, and to do that you have to slightly whore yourself. You start off with zero points and a pimp. You create a profile, with photos, and others visit your profile and photos and rate you either yay or meh. The more yays you get, the more points you get. The more skin you show, the more yays you get. Ha! Well, that's not entirely true... some seem to get by on charm alone, but isn't it fun to be a virtual slut every once in a while?

If you get 50 points, you can buy out your pimp. Get more points, you can yourself become a pimp, and make even more points off your 'bitches'. Then there are the 'fids' which are q&a thingies that you can participate in to beef up your profile and gain more points. Sounds brilliant don't it???

Well, if you want to check it out, go here.

pimp dat sh!t

Did I mention I get points for referrals? Hehehe. And if you need any other incentives, think of the fun slutty photos of me you get to see. Don't worry, they're not too slutty.

In other news... I had a FAB weekend! Really truly! I had big plans for Saturday, which sadly never got off the ground as I never got off the floor. Literally. I blew up my inflatable mattress and sat on it in front of the tele all day long. Pathetic, yes. Smelly, very. But also nice.

On Sunday I made my way out into the great wide gorgeous blue expanse and had a stunning stroll along the coast. I discovered this grassy path that led to the cliffs and a secluded beach and meadow with loads of purple flowers. The path was bordered by thorny shrubs with bright yellow blossoms with the most amazing fragrance. It was divine! The sight, the smells, the alternative feelings of warmth and breeze. I just wished I had someone with me to experience it as well.

I hardly saw anyone on the walk, but everyone I did see was super friendly. Even the scary looking ned in a track suit who whizzed by on his bike shouted a friendly hello on the way by. Wow.

On the drive back, on a never-before taken coastal route, I drove with the window down and the radio blaring. It was great!

I went into town to do some errands, then did my grocery shopping. When I got home, I was inspired to wash my car - for the first time ever since buying it six months ago. With no hose or outdoor water supply, I had to go up and down the stairs to my flat with a big bucket. Pain in the ass, and it wasn't an ideal clean either. But it was better than nothing, and actually didn't look too bad. Until the next morning when the construction next door started and the car was covered in a new layer of dust. Grrr.

Work isn't too bad lately. Still having to do the same old shit, but last week Tommy and I were on a roll. We were in our element, prepared for anything, and it was a great feeling. We had loads of stories lined up, were constantly busy. Today I spent all day in court and came out with six stories to type up, frantically, at 3.30pm. Ended up staying late. And tomorrow I'll probably have to go to the funeral of a father of a high profile killer, which means trying to sneak into the ceremony and staking out the crematorium. Not fun. But I'm not dreading it as much as I would normally be.

I can't WAIT for the weekend! Finally getting some time off, getting away. With Richard. He's so in need of a getaway as well. He's been working for weeks on end, studying his ass off, with loads of pressure to do well. And it's his birthday! He's not even allowed to celebrate.

Speaking of which, I could use some beer. Mmmm.
